I took yesterday off - first golf game of the season! I can’t say that I’m very good - but rather than focussing on the score, I focus on the fact that I didn’t lose a single ball, and didn’t break any of my fancy brush tees. That’s a win!

Earlier this week I was feeling a little stressed out…so I did a little soul-searching and identified 3 major things that were on my mind….and I forced myself to tackle them. Sometimes I can be an ostrich with my head in the sand and ignore things I don’t want to deal with. But I know it takes a toll and haunts me until I do it. So I sorted out my summer scheduling conflicts (even if it meant disappointing some people), I wrote to the contractor and got clarity on next steps, and I took decisions on work related stuff. And now it’s Saturday - I still have a to-do list that scrolls endlessly, but I don’t have that same cloud over me from earlier in the week.

When life gets crazy, it’s always reassuring to have a routine to get back to. Our house goes up for sale today, and it has been a crazy few weeks getting everything ready. My life has revolved around work and the house. So tonight I made myself a promise to get back to normal today - so I’m sitting here with my first coffee of the morning, two sleepy puppies curled up beside me, and creating this fun little oregano sign. This is how I love to start my day.
